  • Build and support a modern, cloud-native tooling environment for engineering teams across the UK
  • Lead migration from legacy on-premises or older tooling to Azure-based solutions
  • Ensure continuity of service during the tooling transition
  • Work in an agile development team with a Technical Product Owner and other stakeholders
  • Plan, prioritise, and deliver improvements
  • Coach and guide junior team members
  • Champion best practices in deployment, automation, and operations
  • Deploy and support tools on Thales’ Azure infrastructure, including CI/CD, artifact management, code quality, and licensing tools
  • Build or modify deployment solutions using Infrastructure as Code and automation
  • Improve processes through automation to reduce manual effort and increase consistency and reliability
  • Maintain existing environments during the transition phase
  • Support delivery teams with automated tools and scripts to provision compute, network, and storage resources
  • Implement monitoring, backups, archives, and log management
  • Maintain relationships with engineering users and key stakeholders to align tooling with business needs

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in modern DevOps and platform engineering technologies
  • Linux administration and scripting
  • CI/CD methodologies and pipeline design
  • Kubernetes and Docker for containerisation and orchestration
  • JFrog Platform (Artifactory/XRay) for artifact and dependency management
  • GitLab for source control and CI
  • Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • Python for scripting and tooling
  • Virtual Machines and cloud infrastructure concepts
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) is advantageous
  • Experience with Siemens Polarion (requirements/ALM) is advantageous
  • Experience with FlexLM License Server is advantageous
  • Experience with Black Duck SCA, Coverity, or SonarQube is advantageous
  • Experience with Jenkins is advantageous
  • Must be a UK National
  • Must achieve and maintain Security Clearance (SC) without caveats before commencing employment
  • Generally must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for full SC; in some circumstances, at least 3 years of UK residence over the last 5 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks
