DevOps / Platform Engineer

In this role you will design, build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure and developer tooling to support a growing platform. You’ll join a focused Cambridge R&D team and collaborate with software and infra engineers to improve deployment, observability and resilience. The role offers exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker across major clouds, with opportunities to take ownership of challenging projects. You will contribute to incident response readiness and help scale the platform for international expansion.

• Design, build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure and developer tooling
• Work with Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker to deploy and manage environments
• Develop and improve Infrastructure as Code and automation
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
• Work on cloud networking, databases, storage, and related infrastructure
• Improve monitoring, metrics and observability across the platform
• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance development, testing and deployment processes
• Evaluate and test new technologies to enhance the platform and engineering environment
• Contribute to technical design discussions and participate in incident response when needed

• 1+ year of commercial experience in DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineering or related role
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker
• Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and automation
• Experience with CI/CD and automated delivery pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for technology
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and work across varied technical environments
• Solid understanding of software engineering and systems design principles
