Overview
In this role you will help build and secure a cloud-native DevOps platform for a funded fintech‑risk technology business. You work within an open, flexible environment to design autoscaling cloud solutions and strengthen the secure software development lifecycle. You partner with development teams to automate delivery, monitor security, and manage data backups while enabling rapid, compliant releases. This is a hands-on role that blends infrastructure, security, and continuous delivery at scale. You will contribute to risk awareness and practical security improvements across the pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Own and improve DevOps processes end-to-end
- Design and implement security risk mitigation within DevOps workstreams
- Manage data synchronization and backup processes
- Build a continuous delivery environment to support secure software development
- Create and optimize internal tooling for faster development
- Own and improve security processes across the organization
- Monitor, test, audit, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage internal cybersecurity training tools and campaigns
- Identify threats via continual monitoring, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments
- Analyze audit logs and implement remediation actions
Key requirements
- 2:1 or above Hons. degree in mathematics, computer science or related discipline
- Experience in infrastructure automation (Terraform)
- Experience with CI/CD (GitLab)
- Experience with containerization (Docker and ECS or Kubernetes)
- Proficient in managing cloud services and APIs
- Strong knowledge of networking, infrastructure, and DevOps with a security focus
