Digital Implementation Lead

In this role you will lead the delivery of digital projects across the Division, ensuring they align with CW ICT strategy and NHS governance. You will work with cross-site teams, manage multimillion-pound programmes, and champion the use of project information systems to support service development. You will maintain documentation, manage risks, and coordinate external partnerships to realise digital benefits. - Manage projects within time, budget, and scope tolerances and ensure alignment with other projects
- Develop and maintain project documentation and governance artifacts
- Establish cross-functional teams, working groups, and user groups to drive project progress
- Identify, record, and mitigate complex project risks and issues
- Assist with contingency planning and disaster recovery for assigned projects
- Coordinate design, development, and testing of systems to meet business and clinical needs
- Monitor project benefits delivery and contribute to benefits register
- Liaise with external suppliers to satisfy contractual and statutory obligations
- Provide regular highlight/exception reports to boards and committees
- Oversee part of a budget and manage digital systems within remit
- Train key stakeholders on new systems and processes
- Escalate changes via Change Control channels (RFC, CCN)
- Ensure safety reporting and documentation per contractual obligations
- Support development of operational policies, procedures, and training requirements
- Utilise a range of information sources to improve project delivery
- Communicate governance considerations to all levels
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Project management qualification
- Experience in project or change management
- Significant experience delivering IT and/or healthcare digital projects
- Budget management experience
- Direct NHS project experience
- Strong knowledge of project controls and techniques
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and office software
- Understanding of Core NHS Information Systems
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams, with good stakeholder management
