As Workplace Product Owner, you maximise value of Workplace products by translating business outcomes into a clear vision, roadmap and backlog. You collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align initiatives with strategy, governance and delivery constraints. You own performance measures, adoption and benefits realisation to improve end-user experience, security and cost-effectiveness. You will shape product backlog, prioritise work, and ensure readiness and governance. This role offers impact across Workplace services like M365, identity and devices.
Responsibilities- Define and maintain the product vision, outcomes and roadmap for Workplace products and services (including end-user devices, collaboration platforms, M365, identity, device lifecycle)
- Own, shape and prioritise the Workplace product backlog with clear user stories, acceptance criteria and value statements
- Manage stakeholder engagement across Workplace, CTO, Cyber, Data, Service Operations, Finance, Change and regional teams
- Support delivery teams through discovery, design, build, test, release and adoption and ensure operational readiness
- Maintain governance for product change, including business cases, approvals, reporting, risk and dependency tracking
- Define and monitor product KPIs (adoption, usage, CSAT, incident trends, time-to-deliver, cost-to-serve) and use insights to drive improvement
- Balance demand across strategic change, operational improvement, risk reduction, technical debt, regulatory requirements and user experience
- Ensure alignment with architecture, security, change, assurance and service management processes
- Support cost control, licence optimisation and value-for-money decisions across Workplace products and suppliers
- Ensure effective governance, risk and financial management in a technology delivery environment
- Promote continuous improvement and data-driven decision making to enhance adoption and performance
- Proven product ownership experience (or equivalent) in technology-enabled services
- Strong backlog management skills with clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Able to influence and align diverse groups (business, engineering, operations, security, suppliers)
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and product discovery techniques
- Understanding of Workplace/End User Computing and collaboration services (M365, endpoints, identity, device lifecycle) and end-user needs
- Operational mindset with awareness of service management and supportability-by-design
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven prioritisation (Power BI/Excel, dashboards, KPIs)
- Ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences
- Understanding of governance, risk, assurance, security and financial management in tech delivery
