Director - AWS Cloud Architect , Engineering

In this role you will lead AWS-powered cloud transformation engagements, shaping data-driven programmes for diverse clients. You’ll align technical designs with business goals, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients and AWS stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions. • Lead the architectural design and implementation of robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS Cloud solutions across client environments
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and blueprints aligned with objectives and best practices
• Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to project teams from inception to completion of AWS engagements
• Collaborate with clients, Deloitte teams, and AWS representatives to ensure seamless integration and performance
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders as a trusted AWS strategy advisor
• Contribute to the improvement of Deloitte's AWS capabilities, methodologies, and IP
• Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers to foster technical excellence
• Stay updated on AWS developments and industry trends to keep Deloitte at cloud innovation forefront

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture with a focus on AWS
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex AWS projects across domains (data analytics, modernization, infrastructure, security)
• Experience in technical pre-sales, bid documentation, RFIs/RFPs, and bid presentations
• Ability to articulate AWS-based solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to prioritise workload and deliver on AWS-enabled programmes
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing teams, workstreams, and deliverables across cloud strategy, migration, modernization and platform engineering
• Knowledge of AWS security, identity, networking, resilience, observability and performance considerations
• Desirable: client-facing consulting experience; AWS Well-Architected practices; AI/GenAI opportunities on AWS; Migration, modernization and managed services experience
• Willingness to undergo UK National Security Vetting and security clearances
