Director Enterprise Architecture Governance

Lead enterprise architecture governance at Alberta Blue Cross® through standards, reference architectures, and executive decision support. This senior role is based in Alberta.

As Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will operate and mature the Enterprise Architecture function under the Chief Architect. You will translate strategy into practical governance, guide major decisions, and coordinate architecture across business, technology, security, privacy, risk, finance, and portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise architecture practices, forums, standards, and decision processes
• Set principles, reference architectures, guardrails, and compliance expectations
• Chair or support senior architecture governance forums
• Monitor OKRs, KPIs, compliance measures, and value indicators
• Advise leaders on options, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of progressive architecture or technology leadership experience
• Experience maturing enterprise architecture operating models and governance
• Experience reporting architecture measures, risks, and enterprise value
• Exceptional executive communication and decision-framing skills
