Director - Google Cloud Architect, Technology & Transformation

In this role you lead the design and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for diverse clients, shaping cloud-enabled transformations. You will partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust architectures, while advancing Deloitte’s Google Cloud capabilities and AI initiatives. You’ll mentor engineers, drive adoption of Gemini Enterprise, and stay ahead of cloud innovations to maintain market leadership. The opportunity combines strategic advisory, hands-on architecture, and high-impact client delivery in a global advisory setting.

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective Google Cloud solutions across industries and client environments
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and blueprints aligned with client objectives and Deloitte best practices
• Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to project teams, overseeing successful delivery of Google Cloud engagements from inception to completion
• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge Google Cloud technologies, including Gemini Enterprise, to enhance client capabilities
• Collaborate closely with clients, Deloitte engagement teams, and Google Cloud representatives to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud solutions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on Google Cloud strategy and implementation
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Deloitte's Google Cloud capabilities, methodologies, and intellectual property
• Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Stay abreast of the latest Google Cloud developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure Deloitte remains at the forefront of cloud innovation

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in cloud architecture with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex Google Cloud projects across domains (data analytics, modernization, infrastructure, security)
• Experience in technical pre-sales, producing bid docs, RFIs/RFPs, and participating in technical bid presentations
• Strong IT infrastructure fundamentals (compute, storage, networking, management)
• Understanding of cloud managed services and buildable, supportable designs
• Deep expertise across GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Apigee)
• Experience with AI/ML on Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise
• Strong cloud security, compliance, and network architecture knowledge (GCP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex concepts to varied audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-oriented approach
• Willingness to undergo UK National Security Vetting and security clearances (desirable)
