As the Director, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, you will report to the AVP, Accounting & Controls, and play a critical role within the Canada Controller Group. Your responsibilities include providing governance across Finance and Risk & Controls, ensuring a robust control environment through oversight of design and assessments. This position is ideal for an experienced leader in internal controls with a passion for enhancing processes and team development.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the governance of the Canadian ICOFR program • Oversee design, documentation, and improvement of controls • Evaluate and manage control deficiencies and remediation actions • Identify opportunities to enhance the control environment • Build and mentor a high-performing team
Requirements: • CPA designation required • 8+ years in internal controls or financial reporting • Strong knowledge of COSO and ICOFR frameworks • Proven experience in leading control optimization initiatives • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
