Our client, an established and growing technology-driven organization in Central Pennsylvania, is hiring a Director of Software Engineering to build and lead an engineering team delivering modern digital products.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership. You will lead four feature teams, and shape how engineering is structured, hired and developed. You'll partner closely with Product and a dedicated architecture leader.

What you'll do

• Own engineering delivery from roadmap through release
• Lead, coach and grow feature teams
• Hire and develop talent and set the engineering practices and standards
• Partner with Product, Architecture and business leaders on priorities and technical direction
• Drive practical adoption of AI across the product and the engineering lifecycle

What you bring

• Experience leading product engineering teams within a SaaS environment
• Proven people leadership: hiring, developing leaders and managing performance
• Strong technical credibility across cloud-native architecture, APIs and event-driven systems
• Comfort with a modern stack: Java and Spring Boot, TypeScript and React, Kafka, AWS and xhqgsiq Kubernetes (adjacent backends welcome)
• Clear, concise communication with both technical and executive audiences
• Senior Engineering Managers ready for their first Director role are encouraged to apply
