Director Payments Strategy and Product

Shape Canadian payments strategy with Central 1 through product leadership, modernization initiatives, and a hybrid work environment. Guide industry change during a three-month contract.

As Director, Payments, you will lead strategic work across the credit union ecosystem. The role emphasizes payments product vision, regulatory requirements, client insights, and market trends. You will work with senior leaders, clients, and industry stakeholders to advance Real-Time Rail and Future State of Retail Batch programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead regulatory and industry-mandated payments modernization workstreams
• Shape medium- and long-term payments product vision
• Prioritize strategic initiatives with clients and stakeholders
• Drive change readiness across cross-functional teams
• Support industry communications with Marketing and Communications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
• Seven-plus years in payments strategy or product management
• Strong Canadian payments landscape understanding
• Strategic, conceptual, and analytical product thinking
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
