Director, Software Engineering

As Director of Finance Systems Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering and evolving planning, forecasting, and finance-focused software solutions. You will partner with Finance to translate transformation priorities into scalable technology roadmaps and ensure solutions integrate with SAP and other enterprise systems. You’ll drive data, automation, and AI/ML-enabled capabilities to improve decision making and streamline processes. • Lead planning, forecasting platforms, custom Finance solutions, and Finance SaaS applications.
• Translate Finance transformation objectives into technology strategies, roadmaps, and deliverables.
• Own the technology portfolio considering priorities, technical debt, lifecycle, and sustainability.
• Establish engineering and product practices ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, ML Engineering, Integration, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and other tech teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Manage technology vendors and implementation partners to ensure delivery, execution, and innovation.
• Build and nurture a high-performing organization across model building, systems analysis/product ownership, and software engineering., fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Provide leadership for enterprise-scale financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-modeling solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years leading enterprise application or software engineering in a large enterprise
• 5+ years leading through managers, including talent development and performance management
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in software engineering, enterprise applications, planning, systems analysis, product ownership, and technical program management
• Experience leading enterprise-scale financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-modeling platforms
• Strong understanding of Finance processes and ability to translate business objectives into technology strategy and roadmaps
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Understanding of software engineering, enterprise architecture, integration, data, and cloud concepts
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with core ERP ecosystem
• Preferred: experience with Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP Analytics Cloud, Golang/Java, event-driven architectures, and Finance SaaS portfolios
