Director - Technology Risk

In this role, you provide second-line oversight of technology risk across AI, M&A, and the broader engineering landscape within LSEG. You will support embedding ERM across Engineering, develop KRIs, and lead deep-dive reviews to inform senior partners. You will shape AI governance, ensure regulatory alignment, and assess technology risks in M&A activity. You work closely with CIOs and CROs to strengthen risk management and governance in a fast-evolving tech environment.

• Provide independent 2nd Line oversight and challenge of technology, AI and M&A risks across LSEG
• Deliver risk insight, assurance and thematic analysis to senior partners on key risks
• Support embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) across Engineering
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Lead deep-dive reviews into areas of heightened risk
• Provide oversight of AI-related technology risks to impact strategy and operations
• Review and challenge AI solution design and deployment
• Support development of AI governance frameworks, standards and policies
• Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations across the Group
• Keep pace with AI developments and provide thought leadership on risks and opportunities
• Provide independent technology risk assessment and opinion on M&A activity including due diligence
• Review target company technology environments and controls
• Assess integration risks and remediation plans
• Partner with Corporate Development and Engineering teams to manage technology risks
• Build relationships with senior partners including CROs, CIOs and CTO
• Influence risk culture and risk management capability
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technology risks
• Represent Technology Risk in governance forums at all levels

• Extensive experience in senior technology risk or IT governance roles
• Strong understanding of 2nd Line oversight and Three Lines of Defence
• Experience in complex global organisations
• Clear understanding of M&A related technology risks
• Solid understanding of AI/ML risks and governance
• Familiarity with COBIT, ITIL, ISO 31000, COSO
• Strong partner management and communication skills
• Experience in Board and Committee risk reporting and metrics
