Distinguished AI Infrastructure Engineer

Design AI infrastructure with Go, Kubernetes, and distributed systems at Equinix, building platforms that bring inference closer to customer data. Shape production services across Equinix’s global footprint as a senior technical leader.

As a Distinguished Engineer, you will define architecture for AI Infrastructure Products and guide products from zero to one through reliable launch. You will build customer-facing APIs, service-oriented platforms, and inference services while connecting workloads through Equinix Fabric. The work spans platform engineering, networking, reliability, and technical mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define multi-year AI infrastructure vision and reference architecture
• Build Go-based inference products, platforms, and customer APIs
• Launch prototypes into durable, globally scalable production services
• Integrate workloads with Equinix Fabric and interconnection products
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture and design reviews

Requirements:

• Strong distributed systems and services experience at scale
• Production Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem experience
• Proficiency in Go and API-first architectures
• Platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE expertise
• AI/ML inference experience or demonstrated interest developing it
