Distinguished Engineer - UK (remote) - High-availability Systems - £225k + package

Hybrid

Distinguished Engineer, with strong experience developing and designing high-availability, distributed systems is now required by a market leading trading house.

This is a hands-on role combining coding with a focus on designing scalable, secure, and high throughput systems, as well as leading across the org's modernisation projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and design of complex software solutions.
  • Mentor engineering teams and guide technical decision-making.
  • Drive best practices across architecture, code quality, and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent background as a Staff or Distinguished level engineer
  • Strong Experience working with APIs
  • Cloud native skills in either AWS or Azure
  • Experience in trading houses or gambling nice to have
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location: UK remote, with occasional travel to London HQ
