Overview

In this role you provide technical and application support for ABB drives to partners, customers and the sales team, helping tailor solutions to customer requirements. You work with cross‑functional teams to showcase value, stay updated on product features, and deliver timely, high‑quality support. Your efforts contribute to customer satisfaction and the UK business in a hybrid working setup. You’ll grow technically, collaborate with factories and OEM hubs, and help drive energy‑efficient solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and application support to partners, customers and colleagues on the ABB drives portfolio
  • Demonstrate urgency in resolving customer inquiries and delivering technical support
  • Assist in delivering technically appropriate, value‑added solutions for customers
  • Stay updated with new product features and market needs through collaboration with experts
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to communicate the drives portfolio value
  • Provide on‑site support, project assistance, training, and maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate with drives factories, OEM hubs and supporting functions
  • Adhere to ABB integrity and ethics programs and complete relevant training
Key requirements
  • Strong customer focus and problem‑solving skills
  • Motion control / servo experience preferable
  • Experience in technical and application support in OEM markets
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across local business, factory teams and supporting functions
  • Qualifications in electrical engineering or related discipline preferred
  • Knowledge and proven experience in variable speed drive systems
  • Passion for technology, innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence
