EC&I and Security Lead

In this role you will lead C&I and functional safety activities from concept through commissioning within highly regulated sectors. You will work across engineering consultancy projects, shaping safety-critical solutions and validating compliance with industry standards. You’ll manage technical deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring engineers to grow capability. The opportunity combines technical leadership with client-facing impact, contributing to safer, compliant control systems at scale. You will operate in a hybrid, Bristol-based setup with clear development paths and professional progression.

• Lead C&I and functional safety activities from concept through commissioning
• Develop control and safety systems and innovative engineering solutions

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Strong understanding of process control systems and documentation
• Experience applying IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 13849, DO-178/DO-254
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to provide guidance and technical direction to teams
• Background in safety-critical control and instrumentation projects
• Experience delivering functional safety solutions aligned to standards
• Proven technical leadership on engineering projects
• Client-facing consultancy or stakeholder management experience
