Overview

As Ecommerce Service Delivery and System Operation Specialist, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of UNIQLO's in‑house e‑commerce platform in Europe, reporting to the Ecommerce Product Manager. You will partner with the Tokyo HQ operations team and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure reliable platform performance, delivery governance and continuous improvement. The role combines technical administration with project coordination to support seamless customer experiences. Responsibilities
  • Oversee technical administration and maintenance of back end and front end, including product maintenance
  • Ensure platform performance across on-site experience, order fulfillment, payments, and digital marketing
  • Track updates, maintenance, launches, events to protect system stability
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms and progress reporting for delivery activities
  • Develop and apply operational practices for monitoring, alerts, escalation, and knowledge base
  • Supervise the Tokyo HQ Ecommerce support team and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with UX, design, content, merchandising, logistics and inventory teams to improve experiences
  • Describe/escalate issues to 3rd line or external partners, owning the resolution
  • Manage platform enhancement projects: maintain documentation (Confluence, Jira, MS), prepare specs, release notes, progress reports
  • Lead continuous improvement plans, ROI analysis, and coordinate end‑to‑end delivery from requirements to UAT
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in a Retail digital/ecommerce team with global scope
  • 5+ years in service delivery (web service) and/or technical roles
  • Experience translating business requirements into epics/user stories
  • Experience with cross‑functional teams (Product Owners/Managers, Business/Technical Analysts) and Agile
  • Experience managing external partners or third‑party vendors
  • SQL data analysis experience
  • Ability to produce system design documentation
  • Knowledge of payment platforms/gateways (a plus)
  • Understanding of HTML, AWS and microservices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Miro, Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with CRM, CMS, Analytics and optimization tools
  • Understanding of business technology mapping
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Kaizen) and willingness to learn
  • Strong IT knowledge, communication and presentation skills
  • English fluency; other EU languages or Japanese are a plus
