Electrical Project Manager - Hyperscale Data Centre

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project on behalf of a leading international technical contractor.

This is a senior opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of the electrical package on a large-scale data centre project, working closely with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and client to ensure safe, high-quality and timely delivery.

Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the electrical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage electrical subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and site teams.
  • Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, CSA, commissioning and other project disciplines.
  • Oversee installation of HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busbar, containment and associated systems.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage programme, progress, resources, procurement and project reporting.
  • Review drawings, specifications, technical documentation and method statements.
  • Manage inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Lead coordination meetings and resolve technical and delivery issues.
  • Work closely with the client, design team and project leadership to achieve key milestones.

Electrical Project Manager Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on major construction projects.
  • Strong experience within data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building services and construction delivery.
  • Experience with HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear and critical power infrastructure.
  • Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong programme, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience through installation, commissioning and final handover.
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent trade background.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-value project environment.
