Electrical Test & Quality Engineer

As Electrical Test & Quality Engineer you will be the final quality gate for bespoke electrical power systems, ensuring safety, compliance and reliability before delivery. You will work with the Custom Solutions Test Team to verify installations against schematics, perform insulation and dielectric tests, and maintain thorough quality records. The role supports FAT preparation and follow-up, focusing on clear documentation and traceability to ISO9001:2015 standards. You will contribute to a safety-focused, standards-driven environment and help drive on-site quality across the build and testing process. • Perform routine electrical testing on bespoke LV switchgear assemblies
• Inspect wiring and components against schematics and drawings
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, dielectric, and functional tests
• Maintain fault logs, test certificates and quality documentation to ISO9001:2015
• Ensure compliance with BS EN 61439 and customer specifications
• Support FAT preparation, delivery and follow-up
• Produce detailed test records, FAT documentation and technical walkthrough videos

• Electrical Engineering qualification with practical testing experience
• Strong fault-finding skills including dielectric withstand testing of LV assemblies
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Knowledge of BS EN 61439, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and single/three-phase systems
• Strong documentation, reporting and PC skills (Excel)
