Overview
In this Embedded Audio Engineer role, you will design and maintain firmware and embedded control systems for audio products, contributing to a multi-platform software ecosystem. You’ll work closely with a software team to integrate hardware platforms and subsystems, including USB, SPI, and I2C, and lead pre-release testing for hardware and software. The position sits in Northampton within a creative, musician-focused culture that values innovation and growth. You will help push the boundaries of audio technology and contribute to world-class products that inspire musicians and enthusiasts.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain embedded control systems for audio products
- Assist in implementing evolving hardware platforms
- Build, test and release firmware for pioneering audio products
- Collaborate within the Software Team to expand a multi-platform software ecosystem
- Integrate peripheral subsystems (USB, SPI, I2C)
- Devise and execute pre-release test procedures for hardware and software
- Embedded C knowledge and hardware debugging tools
- Familiarity with Git and command-line tools
- Ability to write clean, accurate, reusable code
- Minimum two years' experience in a commercial software development environment
