Embedded C++ Software Developer

Build connected-vehicle software at Ford of Canada using Embedded C++ and modern automotive standards in a hybrid, onsite-focused work model. Develop middleware capabilities connecting Ford electronic control units.

This Embedded Software Developer role supports next-generation connected Ford vehicles within the Ford Connectivity Platform team. You will design, implement, debug, test, and maintain C++ features across the software development lifecycle. The work includes Python integration tools, operating-system coordination, manual testing, and AI-supported development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software features using C++
• Integrate operating-system and software components
• Improve integration tools using Python
• Test and maintain connected-vehicle software
• Support Agile software system integration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or computer field
• Five or more years of Embedded C++ experience
• Two or more years across the software development lifecycle
• Experience with QNX, WindRiver Linux, or Qualcomm Linux
• Hybrid availability onsite four or more days weekly
