Embedded Linux Android Engineer

Build embedded Linux and Android software for Mecka AI’s camera and sensor systems, using strong C or C++ skills. Own software from board bring-up through deployment.

Mecka AI builds data infrastructure for robotics and embodied AI. This engineer develops reliable software on real capture hardware, supporting recording workflows used by AI labs and robotics companies. The work combines Linux or Android internals, hardware debugging, resource profiling, and failure recovery. You will improve systems where timing, throughput, power, storage, and data integrity must work together.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded Linux and Android software on capture hardware
• Build reliable services and data paths for recording
• Improve performance, power consumption, and recovery behavior
• Reproduce field failures with hardware and test engineers
• Validate fixes across supported device configurations

Requirements:

• Strong C or C++ skills and Python or shell proficiency
• Understanding of Linux or Android system internals
• Embedded software experience on ARM or comparable hardware
• Ability to reason about concurrency, timing, and recovery
• Experience building reproducible releases and realistic hardware tests
