Overview
In this role you will design, analyze and develop embedded software for satellite systems, contributing from concept to launch and operational life. You will work on real-time applications that meet customer needs and integrate with space-grade hardware. You’ll engage in risk and QA planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on tight schedules. This is a hands-on, mission-driven position that lets you see your software running in space, at pace.

Responsibilities
- Develop complex real-time software to meet requirements and interfaces
- Capture requirements and deliver software within tight timelines
- Plan delivery to meet project schedule and QA/PA requirements
- Identify and communicate development risks to Projects and Engineering
- Participate in internal software peer reviews
- Perform additional delegated activities
Key requirements
- Embedded C software development experience for real-time systems
- Experience with VxWorks, RT Linux, FreeRTOS, or Bare-M Metal
- Knowledge of industry-standard software development processes
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar
- Proficiency in Python and embedded C
- Understanding of digital electronics
- Familiarity with SPARC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures
- Knowledge of CAN, Serial, and IP protocols
- Bitbucket/GIT version control
- Agile/JIRA development approach
- Flexible, proactive and able to work under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
