Overview

In this role you will develop embedded software for microcontroller-based systems, embedded Linux platforms, and FPGA-connected hardware to support cutting-edge laser communication and sensing projects. You will join a growing engineering team across multiple initiatives, applying software across hardware interfaces and automation. The position offers exposure to deep-tech aerospace applications and a hybrid working setup. You will help shape reliable, scalable software that enables advanced photonics systems.

Responsibilities
  • develop embedded software for microcontroller-based systems, embedded Linux platforms, and FPGA interfacing
  • work across multiple projects within the engineering team
  • support automation, testing, and software pipelines
  • collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware platforms
Key requirements
  • Commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++
  • Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation or testing
  • Experience with Git version control and modern software development practices
  • Understanding of unit testing and CI/CD workflows
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments and command-line tools
  • Ideally experience with FPGA-based systems or hardware interfacing
