Embedded Software Engineer C Python

Build C and Python software at Xona for desktop applications and satellite subsystem components. Work with hardware communication protocols and embedded systems.

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to developing and integrating a desktop application for Xona’s in-house satellite receivers. You will also write application code for satellite subsystem components. The work includes software-hardware interfaces, build systems, component communication, subsystem communication, and modularization. Embedded development includes microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate desktop receiver applications
• Write application code for satellite subsystem components
• Design software-hardware interfaces and wire formats
• Develop embedded software for microcontrollers
• Design component and subsystem communications

Requirements:

• Experience coding in C and Python
• Experience with software build systems
• Knowledge of RS-485, UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, Ethernet TCP/IP
• Experience with dev kits and firmware flashing
• Experience with RTOS, Bash, and control systems
