Embedded Software Engineer – Consultant

In this role you will guide the design and delivery of embedded software-enabled systems, working across software, electronics, systems, and mechanical engineering. You’ll help shape architectures, mentor teams, and solve integration challenges in a cross-functional setting. The role blends hands-on embedded work with systems leadership to drive innovative, multi-disciplinary projects. It offers exposure to diverse industries and the chance to influence technical direction in a deep-tech environment.

• Design and develop embedded software and firmware for complex devices
• Define software and system architectures for connected embedded systems

• Degree (2:1 or above) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related subject
• Commercial experience developing embedded software, firmware or device software
• Experience with complex embedded systems or hardware-based products
• Strong understanding of systems architecture, integration and software design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
