Embedded Software Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

As the business continues to expand, they are looking for Embedded Software Engineers to join their Software team in Cambridge. This is an opportunity to work on life-changing technology, developing software for sophisticated devices while helping shape the technical direction, processes and people within a growing engineering team.

The Opportunity

This is a varied role where you'll be encouraged to take initiative, explore new approaches and contribute wherever your expertise can make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing safety-critical embedded software, primarily in C.
• Designing and implementing automated software tests using C and Python to deliver comprehensive test coverage.
• Developing internal software tools, automation and engineering processes, primarily using Python.
• Investigating system behaviour, assessing design conformance and resolving complex software and system-level issues.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A strong understanding of software engineering principles, design practices and development methodologies.
• Good working knowledge of C or Python, with the ability and enthusiasm to work across both.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
