This regional medical center serves the surrounding community with a comprehensive emergency department featuring 22 beds. The facility offers strong support services including 24-hour anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology, as well as an on-site L&D department, providing a well-rounded clinical environment for emergency medicine providers.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide standard solo emergency room coverage for 12-hour shifts (7A-7P)
• Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift
• Annual patient volume of 32,000 with daily volume of 90-100 patients
• Work alongside 2 mid-level providers in a 1 physician/2 mid-level split coverage model
• Open ICU setting with 22-bed emergency department
• EMR system: Meditech 6.1
• Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS prior to submission
• Must hold an active NC license or IMLC licensure
• Board certification required (minimum: certified)
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days
• Hospital-owned apartments provided for housing

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
