We are seeking an ABEM-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for locum coverage in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The greatest need is overnight coverage, with additional weekend day and evening shifts available.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: December 14, 2026
  • End Date: June 30, 2027
  • Approximately 20 night shifts needed
  • Approximately 10 weekend shifts needed
  • Mix of day, evening, and night coverage
  • No call

Schedule

  • Highest priority: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Additional shifts may include:
    • 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
    • 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
    • 10:00 AM 8:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
    • 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
    • 4:00 PM 12:00 AM

  • 300-bed hospital
  • 33-room ED
  • More than 55,000 ED visits annually
  • Diverse acuity and case mix
  • Approximately 9 traumas per month
  • Meditech Expanse EMR

Support

  • 24/7 Hospitalist coverage
  • Specialty support available
  • 20-bed inpatient psychiatric unit

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • ABEM certification required
  • Active Massachusetts medical license required

Ideal Candidate

An ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine Physician with an active Massachusetts license who can provide consistent 11p 7a overnight coverage. Physicians with weekend day or evening availability are also needed.
