Physician Shifts

• 6:00 AM â€" 3:00 PM

• 10:00 AM â€" 8:00 PM

• 3:00 PM â€" 12:00 AM

• 8:00 PM â€" 7:00 AM

NP/PA Coverage

• 8:00 AM â€" 8:00 PM

• 10:00 AM â€" 10:00 PM

• Mondayâ€"Thursday: 24 hours of NP/PA coverage

• Fridayâ€"Sunday: 12 hours of NP/PA coverage

Qualifications

• MD/DO

• Emergency Medicine residency completion required

• ABEM BC/BE

• New EM graduates welcome

• Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license or qualifying IMLC

• Active DEA with Louisiana address

• Louisiana Controlled Substance license

• Must meet requirements for supervising NP/PA providers

Certifications

ABEM-certified physicians actively participating in ABEM MOC: No additional merit badges required.

Board Eligible physicians: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required; AHA preferred. BLS required.

Credentialing Requirements

• Case logs covering the past 2 years

• CME documentation for the past 2 years

• Current-season flu vaccination

• TB documentation from the past 12 months or applicable chest X-ray

• Health attestation completed by PCP or peer during credentialing

• $100K/$300K malpractice coverage

• Louisiana Patient†s Compensation Fund (LPCF) enrollment required; locums physicians must maintain enrollment for a minimum of 90 days at a time

Cross-credentialing is required at four affiliated locations.
