Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum coverage in Kirksville, Missouri. This is a travel assignment at a regional Level III Trauma Center with a relatively low-volume, medium-acuity Emergency Department.

• Approximately 12,000 annual ED visits
• Medium-acuity patient population
• Approximately 10% admission rate
• Certified Chest Pain Center
• Specialized stroke and chest pain intervention services
• Helipad available for critical air ambulance transfers
• EMR: EDIF Medhost

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
• Manage a broad range of emergency medicine presentations
• Stabilize and coordinate higher-acuity transfers when necessary
• Provide care within a Level III Trauma setting

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Missouri medical license preferred
• DEA required
• Visa sponsorship is not available

Ideal Candidate

A BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician interested in consistent 12-hour shifts and approximately 12 shifts per month in a medium-acuity Emergency Department with Level III Trauma capabilities.
