Emergency Medicine Physician

A Level III trauma center in Michigan s Upper Peninsula needs emergency medicine coverage across five short blocks in December and January. Twelve-hour days, 8a to 8p. No call at any point.

The department runs about 36 patients a day across 11 beds with roughly three admissions a shift. You work alongside two to three ED nurses and one advanced practice provider, whom you supervise. Meditech.

The blocks are already set: December 8-11, December 19-21, December 27-29, January 8-10, and January 21-23. One onsite orientation day is required before your first block. There may be ongoing need beyond January.

$315 an hour, which is $3,780 for a twelve-hour shift. Travel and lodging covered, with facility lodging available.

Credentialing runs about 30 days, and temporary privileges can be granted where needed, so a December start is achievable if you move now.
