Employee Platform Engineer — Automation & Identity

Wordsmith in Edinburgh is hiring an Employee Platform Engineer to own onboarding, access, devices and offboarding as one connected system. You’ll build tooling and coding agent workflows to remove manual steps, and you’ll be hands-on with hardware in the Edinburgh office.

You’ll write scripts and IaC to configure devices, enforce security baselines, and produce SOC 2 compliant evidence. Expect ownership from identity to hardware, with automation-led growth.
