Overview
In this role you will be the single point of contact for NEC employees, delivering hands-on desktop support across Windows and iOS. You will install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade hardware while balancing onsite and remote assistance to keep workstations performing at their best. You will document issues, promote best practices, and help harden secure access for remote users. This position sits at the intersection of service delivery and end-user enablement within a collaborative IT team.

- Provide on-site and remote end-user support for staff
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows and iOS
- Document, track, and monitor problems in the Helpdesk system (ISM)
- Procure, configure, and manage desktop PCs, laptops, peripherals, and printers
- Maintain file sharing, encryption, and other security practices
- Enable secure network access for remote users
- Keep systems up to date and identify improvement opportunities
- Support users with advice and best practices
- Windows 10/11 experience
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware (RAM, SSD/HDD)
- Experience using Active Directory
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance
- Password resets and account creation experience
