Endpoint Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Endpoint Security Specialist to enhance and manage the security of all endpoints within their organization in Kimberley . This role is critical for protecting against malware, unauthorized access, and data breaches by implementing and maintaining robust endpoint security solutions. You will be responsible for deployment, configuration, and monitoring of endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, antivirus, and other security measures. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in endpoint security technologies and a commitment to safeguarding user devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions, including EDR, antivirus, and host-based firewalls.
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and events, investigating potential threats and responding to incidents.
• Develop and maintain policies and configurations for endpoint security software to align with security best practices.
• Perform regular health checks and performance tuning of endpoint security agents and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users regarding endpoint security issues.
• Stay informed about the latest endpoint threats and vulnerabilities, adapting security measures accordingly.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

2-4 years of experience in endpoint security management or a related cybersecurity role.

Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) and enterprise antivirus platforms.

Strong understanding of operating system security (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and documentation skills.
