Overview

As an Engineer I in People (HCM) integrations, you will own day-to-day reliability and improvement of Workday integrations with Checkout.com’s tech ecosystem. You’ll work closely with People, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate data flows and scalable connectivity across Workday, ERP, and downstream systems. You’ll participate in testing, upgrades, and feature deployments, while producing clear technical docs and runbooks. This role offers hands-on impact in stabilising critical people processes and data integrity at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules and data flows to downstream systems
  • Configure and support business processes, security roles, workflows, dashboards, and reports
  • Monitor integration health, diagnose failures, and proactively fix recurring issues
  • Troubleshoot data, process, and system issues affecting integrations
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, releases, and deployments with a focus on readiness and regression coverage
  • Author technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base entries
  • Collaborate with People, Finance, IT and other stakeholders to improve end-to-end connectivity
  • Support and extend integrations with third-party platforms across the People ecosystem
Key requirements
  • Workday experience with at least 1 year in integration or technical field
  • Ability to monitor integration health and troubleshoot data flow issues
  • Cross-functional collaboration across People, Finance, and Technology teams
  • Experience in system testing, deployments, and documentation
  • Growth mindset with desire to deepen Workday and integrations knowledge
