Overview

As a Mid level .NET Engineer at Trainline, you will contribute to the core platform that powers journey planning, ticketing, and partner integrations. You’ll work within the Technology Development team to deliver new features, improve code quality, and support scalable, high‑volume applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teammates to keep customers at the forefront and help shape technical decisions. This role offers hands‑on development, mentorship opportunities, and ownership from code to production in a fast‑growing, eco‑maware company.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver new functionality or features using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Maintain and improve code quality across the codebase
  • Continuously refine the codebase to reduce waste and blockers
  • Keep the customer experience as the top priority
  • Identify blockers and bottlenecks and actively remove them
  • Contribute to technical decisions and architectural discussions
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers in the team
  • Own the development lifecycle from code to production, including deployment and monitoring
Key requirements
  • Hands-on experience with C# .NET and latest features
  • Experience in Agile development practices
  • Experience with high-volume transactional software
  • Experience in asynchronous service/processing
  • Ability to test solutions effectively
  • Mentoring experience with less experienced engineers
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
