Engineering Co-Development Manager

In this role you will act as the operational owner of the engineering co-development pipeline, shaping and tracking technical resourcing asks to enable rapid, high‑quality outcomes while safeguarding senior decision‑making. You will be the first point of contact for internal studios and technical leaders, ensuring asks are clarified and progressed, and maintaining a live pipeline of opportunities. You’ll use data to identify candidate pools, pre-qualify candidates, and coordinate introductions and summaries. The position combines organization, people skills and technical context to keep engagements moving smoothly and transparently.

• Own the engineering co-development pipeline from intake to execution
• Clarify scope, urgency and success criteria of technical resourcing asks
• Maintain a live pipeline of immediate and speculative opportunities
• Identify suitable candidate pools using availability data
• Perform first-pass pre-qualification of candidates (skills, availability, risks)
• Coordinate engagement activities: reporting checks, introductions, summaries, bios
• Support onboarding and early engagement monitoring; flag friction early
• Escalate mismatches or risks to External Engineering Director with context
• Maintain accurate records, status visibility and lightweight reporting
• Support development of technical partnerships in Asia (advantageous)

• Background as a C++ engineer within the AAA gaming industry
• Strong understanding of game development roles and teamwork dynamics
• Exceptional organization, follow-through and prioritisation under pressure
• Very high verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Excellent listening and comprehension; ability to reflect understanding
• Empathy and strong human judgement
• Calm under sustained load
• Proficient/verbal written ability in Standard Chinese is advantageous
