Lead AI-powered software development as an Engineering Manager in Canada, working remotely with regular hours aligned to US Pacific Time.

Manage four to seven engineers while owning people development, hiring, delivery, and engineering processes. Partner with product management to balance roadmap priorities, technical health, and reliable execution. Coach teams on agentic development practices and maintain technical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage four to seven engineers through development and performance processes
  • Own planning, commitments, blockers, progress, and delivery representation
  • Coach engineers on AI coding agent workflows
  • Review pull requests and maintain technical involvement
  • Use metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve performance

Requirements:

  • At least three years managing software engineers directly
  • At least five years of professional software development experience
  • Fluent daily use of AI coding agents
  • Experience driving team adoption of agentic workflows
  • Excellent English and international team collaboration experience
