In this role you will lead a team of BI and data engineers to design, build, test and launch data-driven features that model the fulfillment network. You enable faster customer promises and optimize transportation costs by delivering actionable insights. You collaborate across data, product, and program management to implement scalable data infrastructure in a high-growth setting. You drive cross-functional adoption of data-driven decisions while shaping a critical part of Amazon’s fulfillment ecosystem.
Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of BI, data, and software engineers
- Define and improve team practices, roles, and professional development
- Build and maintain data infrastructure to answer business questions with data
- Define data engineering processes leveraging AWS services for accessibility, redundancy and cost control
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions
- Interface with other tech/data teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources using AWS technologies
- Lead the technical design and implementation of the data infrastructure
- Design and manage data quality, audit, and reconciliation processes
- Experience in data warehouse architectures, modeling, ETL/ELT, and analytics tooling
- Proficiency in R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or similar stats software
- Experience translating data insights to business needs with stakeholders
- Experience leading and shaping BI strategy for a team or organization
- Experience in large-scale data warehousing environments
- Experience managing a data or BI team
- Knowledge of SDLC and engineering practices for software/hardware/networks, including code reviews, version control, builds, testing, and live-site operations
