- Lead and develop a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, secure software
- Prioritize, plan and oversee delivery to achieve predictable outcomes
- Design and build scalable, maintainable software while remaining hands-on
- Coach and mentor engineers with structured development plans
- Embed a culture of quality, testing and security in daily engineering practices
- Drive continuous improvement using delivery metrics and observability data
- Manage operational readiness, incident response and technical debt to keep systems resilient
- Collaborate with product, architecture and business stakeholders to remove blockers and deliver customer value
- Significant hands-on Java engineering experience with Spring Boot microservices
- Understanding of modern software architecture (domain-driven and event-driven design)
- Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring people
- Strong knowledge of test-driven development and automated testing
- Experience with CI/CD, version control workflows, and software delivery pipelines
- Understanding of secure software development, operational readiness and observability
- Ability to balance technical, commercial and delivery considerations while influencing stakeholders
