In this role you lead the Runtime Platform team, owning delivery, roadmap, and performance. You’ll coach and grow engineers, shape hiring, and set technical direction for latency, profiling, real-time scheduling, and middleware. You guide system design, IPC/middleware, and observability to ensure reliable on-vehicle AI software. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners and drive impact across Wayve’s AI Driver stack. This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-moving, safety-critical domain with meaningful scale.

- Lead, grow, and performance-manage the team, conducting regular feedback and supporting career development

- Drive execution by aligning roadmap with resources, prioritizing work, and ensuring quality and reliability
- Set and communicate the technical direction and milestones for the team's technology roadmap
- Oversee runtime foundations: system design, middleware/IPC, performance optimization, and observability
- Enable new vehicle platform support with minimal performance impact
- Maintain strong CI, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and quality gates for rapid iteration
- Collaborate with Vehicle Software, model developers, hardware, and OEM programs; escalate and mitigate risks
- Engineering management experience: leading and retaining a high-performing software/systems team
- Delivery through a team: roadmap ownership, planning, resourcing, and accountability
- Technical credibility in embedded software for products delivered to customers
- Experience with high-performance, low-latency embedded software (C++)
- Understanding of profiling, benchmarking, latency/throughput/memory analyses, and real-time scheduling on embedded Linux (incl. QNX)
