Engineering Manager Software Delivery

Lead software delivery as an Engineering Manager with Affinity Insurance Technology in Waterloo, Ontario, using coaching and scalable technical solutions in a hybrid setting.

You will lead one or more cross-functional engineering squads while translating business objectives into reliable, maintainable solutions. The role combines people leadership, delivery execution, and technical direction across modern web applications, APIs, backend systems, and legacy platforms. You will support critical customer and employee experiences used throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop diverse engineering teams
• Guide products, enhancements, and technology upgrades
• Ensure application reliability, performance, and security
• Remove delivery blockers and address risks proactively
• Communicate dependencies and impacts to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

• Four-plus years leading technology teams of eight or more
• Experience supporting high-performing hybrid or distributed teams
• Knowledge of web applications, APIs, backend, and legacy platforms
• Practical Agile and DevOps experience
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences
