Overview

In this role you will lead enterprise architecture, strategy, and transformation advisory work for financial services clients. You will steer engagements, align architecture with business priorities, and drive sustainable change in collaboration with senior stakeholders. The position offers leadership across projects, with scope to shape offerings and contribute to growth. This is a hybrid role based in London or Manchester, ideal for ambitious architects seeking progression into management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery across one or more medium-sized client accounts, setting direction and delivering outcomes across business, application, technology and data domains
  • Develop enterprise architecture artefacts such as target architectures, roadmaps, capability models, governance frameworks and cloud adoption designs
  • Deliver independently or within engagement teams, linking technology decisions to strategic priorities
  • Lead development of enterprise architecture propositions and service offerings, translating strategy into frameworks and collateral
  • Contribute to evolution of EA capability by identifying market trends and client demand in financial services
  • Collaborate with business, solution and data architecture teams to ensure propositions are integrated, scalable and commercially viable
  • Lead and contribute to bids, sales opportunities and partnership development
  • Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to capability development and thought leadership
Key requirements
  • Significant experience leading enterprise architecture, strategy, and transformation advisory initiatives in a consultancy or financial services environment
  • Strong EA consulting skills with ability to lead workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs
  • Balanced knowledge across EA domains including strategy, business architecture, cloud, platforms, integration and modern tech environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field with recognised EA certification (e.g. TOGAF) and knowledge of frameworks such as BIAN, ArchiMate, Zachman
  • Experience with EA tooling (e.g. LeanIX, Ardoq, Orbus) and architecture modelling practices
  • Confident communicator capable of translating complex architecture into clear, business-friendly outputs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work autonomously and manage client expectations
  • Collaborative and self-motivated with consulting maturity, appetite for proposition development, sales and thought leadership
