Overview

As Enterprise Architect Manager, you’ll shape the EA vision and roadmaps for complex health and public service programs. You’ll translate business strategy into actionable architecture across data, applications, and infrastructure, partnering with senior clients and cross-functional teams. You’ll evaluate trends, drive transformation, and govern initiatives to secure value and alignment with strategy. This role offers impact at scale, working at the intersection of business, technology and government-facing programs.

Responsibilities
  • Assess impact of business strategy on enterprise architecture (org, apps, data, infra, operations)
  • Lead industry trend analysis to identify change needs in EA
  • Co-create EA vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Translate recommendations into actionable roadmaps for large tech environments using Lean/Agile principles
  • Develop value cases for executive investment decisions in transformation roadmaps
  • Lead creation of EA blueprints showing end-to-end tech landscape (apps, integrations, data)
  • Conduct end-to-end vendor assessments across tech, vendor and data platforms
  • Bridge business and technology stakeholders to finalize architectural decisions
  • Provide EA governance during transformation programs to maintain guidelines and objectives
  • Lead design and governance of enterprise data platform capabilities (integration/automation)
  • Create EA operating model definitions and implementation roadmaps
  • Complete EA maturity assessments
Key requirements
  • Experience in secure UK Government sectors (Defence, Public Safety, National Security)
  • Experience across Business, Application, Data, or Technology architecture domains
  • Proven track record on large digital reinvention/transformation programs
  • Interest in emerging technologies (AI, Data, Quantum, Robotics, Cloud)
  • Experience with major tech platforms (SAP, Workday, Oracle, Salesforce)
  • Experience with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to present across architecture abstraction levels and work with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience designing AI solutions
  • Knowledge of government standards and architectural methods is a plus (TCoP, GOV strategies)
  • Certification awareness (TOGAF/COBIT/DCAM/AWS/Azure/GCP)
