Overview

In this role you will lead enterprise Master Data Management efforts across client, product, reference data, and related domains to ensure trusted, high-quality data. You will partner with business and technology teams to uphold data standards and enable data-driven transformation. You will drive data quality, governance, and stewardship, shaping how data supports regulatory, analytical, and operational needs. This position offers impact across multiple domains and opportunities to influence data architecture and processes in a global financial services firm.

Responsibilities
  • Own and lead Master Data subdomains (e.g., Client, Product, Reference Data) ensuring data integrity and alignment with standards
  • Drive end-to-end data quality initiatives from profiling to remediation and monitoring
  • Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify patterns and improvement opportunities
  • Define data quality rules, controls, and monitoring frameworks
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to resolve data issues at source and drive process changes
  • Lead data governance and stewardship activities including management of CDEs, metadata, lineage, and business rules
  • Collaborate with architecture teams on data ingestion, integration, and MDM enhancements
  • Drive continuous improvement of master data processes, including automation and standardization
  • Support regulatory, operational, and analytical data requirements for downstream consumption
  • Act as SME for assigned domains, guiding junior analysts and sharing best practices across MDM
Key requirements
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, joining, and analyzing large datasets across systems
  • Experience in data profiling and identifying data patterns and quality issues
  • Proven capability in data quality management including rule definition and remediation tracking
  • Solid understanding of MDM concepts: match/merge, survivorship, golden record, stewardship
  • Experience with data governance practices including metadata, lineage, and CDE management
  • Strong root cause analysis skills and ability to drive issue resolution at source
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
