Enterprise Solution Architect Edmonton

Shape secure, scalable technology architecture in person at North Campus, Edmonton, using enterprise design and strategic technology expertise. Support University initiatives.

The Solution Architect serves as the primary contact for information technology design and decision matters. This 24-month appointment advises sponsors, stakeholders, and leadership on technology solutions supporting strategic directions. The work spans project planning, delivery, modernization, and governance across the University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs into secure, scalable architectural blueprints
• Align solutions with Enterprise Architecture Principles
• Assess portfolios, reduce complexity, and mitigate technical debt
• Evaluate proposals through technology governance processes
• Guide solution development and delivery lifecycles

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related study
• At least five years across information technology disciplines
• Experience mentoring teams and providing technical leadership
• Hands-on ArchiMate and UML modeling experience preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, planning, and relationship-building skills
