Entry-Level Siemens Controls Specialist

This entry-level Automation and Controls Specialist supports a major automotive client during a six-month monitoring implementation project. The work focuses exclusively on Siemens-controlled systems across machining and assembly areas. You will update PLC programs, configure interfaces, and help identify performance drift through equipment data. The assignment is expected to cover approximately 35% of plant equipment. Relevant co-op or internship experience may qualify as part of up to two years of experience. An electrical, controls, or mechatronics background is preferred, or equivalent direct work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify equipment using Siemens control systems
• Update PLC programs through Siemens TIA Portal
• Transmit equipment data through interface modules
• Configure monitoring portals for plant assets
• Diagnose and fix software logic errors

Requirements:

• Up to two years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Siemens controllers and STEP 7
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming standards
• Familiarity with PROFINET, OPC UA, or Ethernet/IP
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
