eRates Application Support

In this role you provide functional and technical support for Front Office Rates and Repo trading applications within a complex trading environment. You will bridge Front Office users with technology teams to ensure stability, availability, and performance of end-to-end application landscapes. You will handle incidents, support change and release cycles, and contribute to improvements in resilience and processes. This hybrid London position offers exposure to critical trading workflows and cross-functional collaboration that shapes production support in a high-stakes financial setting.

• Provide functional and technical application support for Front Office Rates and Repo trading applications
• Manage production incidents and problems, performing investigation and root-cause analysis
• Support end-to-end application chains, understanding upstream/downstream dependencies and business impact
• Collaborate with Traders, Front Office users, developers, infrastructure teams and stakeholders
• Use SQL to investigate data, troubleshoot issues and analyze application behavior
• Support across Unix, Linux and Windows environments, including web application servers and portals
• Utilize basic scripting (ideally Python) for troubleshooting and automation
• Support change and release management, ensuring controlled production implementation
• Translate technical issues into business language for cross-team communication
• Identify opportunities to improve stability, resilience, and support processes
• Contribute to projects and enhancements, delivering on time, quality, and budget
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

• Experience in Application/Production Support in a Front Office trading environment
• Strong financial markets knowledge, especially Rates and Repo
• Proven incident, problem and root-cause management experience
• Proficiency with Unix, Linux and Windows systems
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data analysis
• Basic scripting capability (Python)
• Knowledge of web application servers and portals
• Understanding of production, change, and release management processes
• Experience with end-to-end application architectures and complex functionality
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience delivering projects within time, quality, and budget constraints
